Sam S. Youn - Attorney

Sam Youn approaches any problem from multiple angles, making use of his experience of diverse cultures.  Born in South Korea, Mr. Youn spent his childhood in Venezuela and California.  He attended the Florida International University and graduated in 2007 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy and a minor in Chemistry.  He immediately attended law school at the University of Florida, Levin College of Law and graduated in 2010.

Since his youth, Mr. Youn's greatest passion was helping people.  Throughout college, he was involved in community service at a local hospital and a local church.  He studied philosophy as a pursuit of the greater good.  Not satisfied with merely studying what is good, he studied law to apply his beliefs on the real world.  The classes that most interested Mr. Youn in law school were on the topics of Alternative Dispute Resolution, since it aligns with his beliefs that the law should not only address the issue that is being tried in court, but also address the underlying issues of the case.

Mr. Youn continued serving the community while he interned for the Legal Aid Society of Broward County, where he worked on the Special Projects team doing legal research and drafting for a case dealing with homeowner rights and and the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development.  He also had the privilege of interning for a Florida District Court judge, during which his main responsibility reviewing foreclosure cases for the judge.  After joining the Florida Bar in 2011, Mr. Youn worked at a consumer protection firm, primarily dealing with debtor rights and credit card collections cases.

The idea that the legal system should be simple and accessible to all people is what continues to drive Mr. Youn as he represents his clients.  Mr. Youn later decided that he wanted to apply his views of the legal system in his own way, and along with Mr. Seidmon and Mr. Medolla, The SYM Law Group, LLC was formed in early 2012.
